About My Benefits Calculator
What we do
My Benefits Calculator is a free suite of U.S. government benefit and entitlement estimators. We build calculators that help people understand housing vouchers, alimony, per diem travel rates, and similar programs — without requiring a sign-up, subscription, or payment.
Our goal is to make complex government programs easier to understand. Whether you're applying for housing assistance, going through a divorce, or submitting a travel reimbursement claim, a quick estimate helps you plan, ask better questions, and know what to expect.
Our calculators
- Section 8 Housing Voucher Calculator — estimates payment standards, income limits, and tenant rent share using HUD Fair Market Rent data.
- Alimony & Spousal Support Calculator — covers all 50 states with statute-specific formulas where available.
- Per Diem / Travel Rate Calculator — official GSA CONUS rates by city and fiscal year.
More calculators — SNAP, EITC, child support, and others — are in development.
Who we are
My Benefits Calculator is an independent, privately operated website. We are not affiliated with any government agency, legal firm, or financial institution. Our calculators are educational tools, not official services.
We also operate sister sites focused on individual programs:
- section8calculator.com — full Section 8 calculator with 31,000+ city pages and HUD API integration.
- alimonycalculated.com — alimony calculator with 50-state engines and guides.
- perdiemcalculator.com — GSA per diem calculator with crew and contractor guides.
How we make money
This site is supported by display advertising through Google AdSense. Ads appear on calculator pages and may be targeted based on your browsing history. See our Privacy Policy for details on how advertising works on this site.
We do not accept payment to change calculator results, rank one tool over another, or endorse any product or service.
Accuracy and updates
We update our data regularly (HUD FMRs annually, GSA rates each October 1, state statutes as they change), but data may occasionally lag official sources. Always verify figures with the relevant agency before making financial or legal decisions. See our Disclaimer for full details.
